A 5 day MTB race in the heart of Africa.
A unique atmosphere, stunning scenery and many, many hills. Right in the heart of Africa.
The Rwandan Epic team has a shared passion for Rwanda, mountain biking and seeing people and communities uplifted through cycling.
This renowned stage race in the heart of Africa has a max of 75 teams and has quickly gained recognition in both the African and international scene, with Karl Platt and Jean Eric Habimana winning the 2021 edition (held in March 2022) & Jens Scheurmans and Frans Claes in November 2022.
The organisers aim to keep the event small in scale but big in impact, by offering scholarships and discounted fees to local talent, mainly covered by the entry fees of international riders.
Rwanda is known as the country of 1000 hills, and the course reflects that with lots of climbing, with plenty of single track and some nice natural rock gardens.
